My One Hundredth Post (And First Giveaway!)

Update: The winner of our Happy Harvest basket is Comment #9 - Jonathan DelValle! Congratulations, Jon. I will get the basket to you as soon as possible.

You guys. This is Post #100. Can you even believe it? I can't. I was talking it over with my hubby and told him that I've had this idea for a giveaway rolling around in my head for a while. We like to celebrate milestones around here and what better way to celebrate than with presents, amiright?! He told me to go for it, so here we are!
Isn't this fun? I had fun putting it together, and I hope it brings whoever wins a little happy. If you've been reading my blog for any length of time, you might recognize most of the things filling this happy little harvest basket as some of my favorites. A cup with a straw (and 4 super-fun EXTRA straws), a pack of 3 Classic ChapSticks (Strawberry, Cherry, and Spearmint), a febreeze car clip, a febreeze Autumn Charm candle in a jar, Slipper Socks (sooo cozy), a New Testament with the Psalms and Proverbs (by far the most important thing in the basket), and, because we can't have a giveaway that doesn't include a book, a hardcover edition of The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne (one that's on my book list for the year and one I happen to be reading currently).

So now that you know what's up for grabs, let's go over some guidelines.

Giveaway Guidelines

1. This giveaway is only open to residents of the United States who are 18 years old or older.

2. To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about Autumn. If you're having trouble leaving me a comment, hopefully this post will help you. If you're still having trouble, feel free to e-mail me at hannah.hancock87@gmail.com, and I will be happy to enter you.

3. For additional entries, you may share this post to facebook, twitter, instagram, pinterest, or your own blog. For each share, leave an additional comment on this post stating where you shared it.

4. The chance to enter this giveaway will be available for one week. That means from the time this post goes up until midnight of next Wednesday (the 14th).

5. A winner will be selected through a random drawing and announced as an update at the top of this post on October 15th. That winner will have one week to contact me to claim the prize. If that winner fails to contact me, a new winner will be drawn.

Thanks for reading my blog and good luck!

  1. Ahhhh!!! I'm so proud of you! Way to go!!

Ok, my favorite thing about Autumn (just one??) HAS to be family vacation. My entire immediate family and your entire immediate family get together at some beautiful mountain scenery for an entire week and spend quality time together. It is seriously the BEST!!

    😘😘 Love you!!

  2. Very cool! My favorite thing about fall is being able to enjoy the slightly cooler (but not too cold for this Floridian) weather. The sun is still crisp and warm, but the cool breezes make the day so nice. Love going outside on days like this. :)

  3. Lyndsey!! You totally stole mine!! Family vacation is the BEST thing about autumn. Hands down. But I also like how my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, is in autumn.

Also I love the woods in autumn.

Also I love how close it is to summer...summer is my favorite.

Also I should get three entries because I gave you three reasons.

  4. Also your blog thing just tested my abilities to discern an RV from a sail boat...I don't see how that relates to this blog in any way. Just saying.

  5. What a fun post!
My favorite part of autumn is the nostalgia I inevitably feel for what autumn has been to me: fresh school supplies, warm mugs, crisp mornings, family time by the fire, playing dominoes with my Dad and so many other sweet memories. And on top of all that, I have new Octobers in which to make fresh memories with gems like you :)

  10. I want to enter, but I don't think it would be fair for your mother to get the prize....I defer to another avid reader.
However, my favorite thing about autumn is ....... FAMILY VACATION!! And all it entails. As already stated by my wonderful family. Reagan, you will be sorely missed this year.

  11. Favorite thing... fresh crisp air. I adore the leaves changing but the air feeling "clean" is my favorite part. Ritter's Cider Mill had the most fresh smelling air ever! Lol. I could sit there for hours just breathing (and maybe reading my favorite book- Jay Eyre)

  12. My favorite thing about autumn is the prospect that someday soon I will go out for a morning run and the air will feel crisp like I'm swimming an a vat of peppermint, and I'll be able to run fast and I won't sweat like Niagara Falls, and the I will relish the knowledge that I made it, I survived another Mississippi summer.

  13. I saw your moms post on fb and thought i would read your stuff. So fun Hannah! I love fall here in Michigan! It is probably a little chillier than Florida :-) yet my favorite part of fall is soaking in the last bit of warm sunshine before it turns all freezing. Once winter comes, even the sunshine seems cold. And of course I can spoil Mike since its his birthday in October. ;-)

  15. My favorite thing about fall is the changing colors of the trees, especially in New England. Sweaters, cooler weather, pumpkin spice is oh so nice, and apple picking are up there on the list too!! Congrats on your milestone!

  16. Favorite thing about Fall. When I lived in Illinois, it was the change of colors. The leaves were such beautiful colors and a different hues every year. Now, that I'm in Florida, I am having to look for a different favorite about Fall, since the leaves don't change around here. But I do like green. It may take me a couple years to find a new Fall Favorite that will replace the change of color.
